We may use a business name, location, public business email, public website or social profile, and publicly displayed reviews to decide whether a relevant website example may be useful to that business. We obtain these details from the business's own public pages and reputable public directories. We keep a record of who we have contacted so we do not send repeated cold introductions. We do not buy private contact lists or create a personalised preview before a business asks for one.

Our basis for this limited business-to-business outreach is legitimate interests. You can object at any time by replying to our email, using the opt-out page, or emailing hello@testyourwebsite.com. We will stop marketing to you and retain only the details needed to honour that request. We review outreach records after 12 months.

Information used for previews

If you request a preview, we may use public business details such as business name, category, opening hours, public contact links, address area, and review themes, along with photos or other assets you provide or permit us to use.

If you email TestYourWebsite, your message is used to reply, prepare the preview, quote the work, and coordinate launch or maintenance.

Preview visibility

Prospect website previews should be treated as temporary working drafts. Client-specific previews should be marked noindex and can be removed on request.

Your choices

You can ask what information we hold, request a correction or deletion, or object to direct marketing by emailing hello@testyourwebsite.com. If your business is shown in a requested preview and you want it removed, use the opt-out page or email us. You may also raise a concern with your local data protection authority.
